  • Marble Arch

Westminster Cycling Festival at Marble Arch on Sunday 17 June.

Taking place in the centre of London, the festival will be even bigger this year. Whether you’re a cycling enthusiast or you want a fun day out with your family or friends, then join us for:

  • a 30m popup velodrome where you can cycle on a 75m circuit at speeds of up to 26mph
  • a kids zone to put children’s creative skills to use by making jewellery and keyrings from various parts of a bicycle or decorating bicycle shaped biscuits
  • health and wellbeing sessions hosted by our very own ActiveWestminster Team
  • learning about proposed quietways for cyclists - a map detailing off the main road routes that cyclists can take to avoid polluted streets and high volumes of traffic.
  • training advice for adults and children
  • cycle-themed arts and crafts

You can also learn about bicycle-themed services available across Westminster’s libraries and if your own bicycle is missing much-needed accessories, then various bells, pannier bags and baskets will be on sale.

The police will also be on hand to offer advice to cyclists how to avoid the blind spots of lorry drivers and the dangers of the near side pass. To make the experience even more real, an actual heavy-weight lorry will be used to emphasise their advice.

The festival is free to attend for all ages, so why not come along and join the fun!
